help on selecking proper scope

looking for a medium priced scope, any opions on the weaver series or other like scopes

A friend has a BEC 3-12x44 with lighted reticle mounted on a CETME for under $100. Went hunting with a buddy and at dark-30 could still see clearly whereas the other scope was black. The Tasco world class for around $150 has a lifetime warranty.

I just purchased a Weaver Grand Slam from Natchez 6X20 am very happy with it. If I had not might have looked into a Weaver V16 and saved $100. it also looked like a nice scope for the money. Just one guy opinion!
