Anything more than FREE is too much. They are enticing because they are inexpensive, concealable, and cheap ammo, but they don't feed worth crap. I have the similar J-22, and it never fed properly. I just spent more money seeing if i can get it to fire more than 1 round before jamming. When bidding, remember that some guns are cheap for a reason. I recommend doing research before any purchase. It will save you money and headaches.

Fret not my good man. The Phoenix is the best of the cast alloy bargain priced .22's.Way better than the Jennings. If buying brand new it is best to do a little light filing to clean up the frame rails and the barrel . There sometimes is a little cast molding slag that gets missed before assembly and shipment. Barrel will probably develop stress fractures but only after 10,000 rounds. Have fun with this nifty li'l plinker. 0 -
Well look at it this way, you just bought a really expensive fishing weight.... 0 -
Yeah, don't fret too much. As a matter of fact, I know a gunsmith who spcializes in fixing the "cheap" guns. I just got my J-22 back, but I still need to test it out. As soon as I take her out I'll let you know how she did. Keep my email handy, because you may need it when your gun arrives.
