Ditto what Chuck said. If you watch the powder closly it jumps slightly when tapped, if it were wet your graphite would make a gooey mess.[This message has been edited by drawn (edited 02-08-2002).]

hope its modern smokeless powder. if its static and black powder you could have an explosive problem. lyman and cabelas have a static elec. fix.

You might try rubbing it with one of those static free cloths some use in the clothes drier.

Try a dehumidifier in your reloading area. They also make hydrosobent crystal packs that you can place around powder and in areas you want to keep dry. If your reloading area is about 40 -60 % humdity, it is best. Sears and Emerson make dehumidfiers for about $70-120.00 that will make a room 15 x15 and closed in pretty dry. It will also help keep rust off tools and guns.

Wash funnel in mix of liquid dish soap and warm water, do not rinse let air dry. This will stop your sticking problem.

It has been almost 4 years since I have loaded any shells, but if memory is correct, this is caused by plastic funnels. Seems like that is why I purchased an aluminum one. Can some one verify this?

We occasionaly have a problem getting lettering paint to stay put on a plastic sign face. If we rub the surface with rubbing alcohol it discharges the plastic and we are good to go until it gathers a charge again. ........................Jack
