Boy, I sure wish I did! I used to have all the stuff for the .222 Rem!Reloading, powder balance, bullet molds - the works, but my Mom made me get rid of it all when my Dad died. Bummer. I do not even have that rifle any more ... double bummer!Have fun!

man I wish I had a scanner. I have a group right now measuring around .3" at 100yds from that caliber. An old 788 rem with the long barrel they offered in it's last few years of production. I am thinking about listing her on GB with the dies. I want a 22-250 700 rem vssf.19.6gr imr 4198, 52gr remington HP hornady cases, oal @ 2.170"

I still use the 4198 in my 222. Why mess with the new powders when this one does so well!

JustC- If you are wanting that new 22-250 for varmint hunting I would recomend against getting the stainless fluted. I would however get the Varmint synthetic. That is what i shoot. The only problem with the VSSF is the glare from the littlest bit of sunlight. I have found it very hard to call any type of varmint in with a VSSF. songdog

BLC-2, 23.5 grains, Hornady 52 grain HP, and seat to your rifles content. Might not .3, but not many critters escape. GW.

I have found some very good results with a 50 gr. Hollow Point Made be Calhoon, in 2 different rifles.

i picked up a rem. 700 in .222 at a gun show 'cheap' almost new. started to reloaded for it w/ 50 to 55 gn. bullets and had some go sideways, couldn't hit a bull in the ass with the rifle. then i tried some 40 gns. 'v' max bullets now the rifle shoots under .5". point is, feed the rifle what it likes, don't be affraid to try something non-standard.
