I am very close to purchasing one of these for a duck gun and all around shooter. I am very familiar with the competition in this segment (browning, sbe winchester, etc) but just don't know much about this one. I have read all the Franchi info but does anyone have any real experience with this gun? thanks 0 -
JJMC2001;I have a Franchi (I think it is the Falconet 97.12). It's a 12ga over/under. I absolutely love it. I have killed many a clay bird with it, although I would never take this particular gun to the local duck pond. My wife gave it to me as a 10 year anniversary gift. It is a finely engraved sporting clays gun. Way too nice to schlep through the muck!Anyway, I can't speak for their hunting weapons, but this clays gun shoots great and always draws comments at the local sporting clays field for its detailed engraving and inlays as well as the beautiful grain in the stock. Predictable trigger pull, consistant patterns through all chokes....I can't ask for a better shotgun for what I require of it.For what it's worth.....I think the same Italian folks that make Franchi also make Benelli. Good guns.Good luck to you. Hope you find one that you enjoy as much as I enjoy mine. 0
