I would suspect that factory ammo will generally be hard to find and get harder. As for power, there is nothing in North America that it is too small for. That said, it has a useful range to 250 yards. It may not be the best choice to break a charge of a Kodiak, but would be suitable to use for hunting them with the proper bullet.

so would the value of this gun be much less that a similar gun in the same shape due to the difficultly in finding ammo???? i really wanted to buy it because it is so beautiful, but......

It is refered a a mid range magnum, It is almost identical to a 35 Whellen (balistically). I have killed lots of elk with this cartridge. Factory ammo can still be found, If you reload there is no problem. I load a 250 gr Hornaday round nose . You will find with short magazine of the 600 that a round nose or flat tipped bullet will not get deformed from recoil.

Great choice. I own two 350's. Both Rem. model 7. First has a full lenght stock, the other is a kevlar one. The kevlar job is a back-up rifle for black bear clients. My handloads push a 225 gr. Nosler part. at close to 2700 fps with no high preasure signs in this rifle.Have gotten the 200 Barnes X to break 2800 fps but this one is a bit too warm. Good luck, Swanie

Danno haven't purchased the gun as of yet. as stated b4 the gun is a real beauty, but i really don't have a good reason to buy the gun as i live in ga and no really large game around here, but i still may get it.......what would the aprox value of a M600 in .350mag in 98%+ condition be worth???? as stated b4 i think the gun could have come through the remington custom shop as i have never seen a remington off the shelf with such a nice stock. it's a blond wood with walnut colored streaks through it....what would a box of 20 shells go for????

If you buy and want to sell it--I'll give you $850.00 for it.--That should help you establish a price for the gun.--Regards Vikrant

New Remington brass is still available for this caliber, but I would stock up. It probably won't be available for long. They have quit making the 6.5 mm mag that was based on that same case. Neither factory brass, or ammo is still available for the 6.5. Buy the gun and deer hunt with it, it's a fantastic gun. If you reload, you can reload 180's, or 200's for less recoil. By the way, it DOES kick, if you're recoil sensitive. If recoil bothers you, you might want to pass on it.
    Gun control means all X's.
