Ruger P97 change decocker to standard safety?

Ruger P97, so far very happy BUT I would like to switch the safety to a standard(hammer drop and remain in low position "on safe") Like the other Ruger autos.Can this be done?Paul

    Why bother? You have a long trigger pull to act as safety.It would be best to contact Ruger on this.

    Psantos, Just curious why you don't like the p-97? I have the a P-90 with the safety/decocker and a P-90 with just a decocker. Of the two, I have found that I prefer the decocker only. Both are very accurate and I consider both pretty safe. Around the house, I guess you could leave a shell out the chamber for added safety. Robin
