S&W 1000 & 3000 barrel question
?- Will a S&W 1000 (semi) & S&W 3000 (pump) 12 gauge shotgun barrel (both are takedowns) interchange between these shotguns? I just aquired a 1000 12 ga semi & was told buy another (selling a 3000 bbl) that they will swap out. Anyone have experience with is these shotguns, as this gun is new to me. I have 2 older S&W 916's, but not the same type of firearm.

Manny - without knowing for sure, I am going to say I dont believe they are. Whomever told you that may have seen an earlier Smith pump as I had, a 12 gauge 1000P. The 1000P and 3000 barrel are interchangable but I dont think the 1000 semi will interchange. Then again, I could be wrong ... 0 -
