I am looking for a military style sholder-holster
Does anyone know of a good holster-maker who makes a shoulder-holster like the ones military pilots used to carry their 1911's in? It allows the pistol to ride over the left breast pocket...in front of of the body instead of under the left arm.I am looking for one to carry a 1911 in. Also want one for a Browning HiPower. Any recommendations?

Have you checked out your local surplus store. At the military surplus store here in town, you can stil buy the military style shoulder holsters. They keep them in stock almost all the time. Usually at a fairly reasonable price. Good luck in your search. 0 -
Lousy for self-defense, but great for wearing "in the woods" or on horseback. If you want "the real thing", try an Army surplus store...or go here: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1068858943 http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1068886091 http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1069004556 ....or go to the GB Auction "Search" and type in "shoulder holster". ....or go to almost any gunshop. They can order you newer versions (nylon or cordura) of the same thing.[This message has been edited by Xracer (edited 02-04-2002).] 0 -
