Auto Gas Light Co N.J. & Colt??????

I recently purchased a frame for a 1908 .25 colt Semi-auto. It had been in a display cabinet 1910 until 1983 when it along with other Colt & Savage frames was purchased by the previous owner. Frame has no ser no. or any other marking. AGL had developed a new blueing process that they eventually sold to Colts. This was apparently detailed in a book somewhere. Does anyone know anything at all about it or Auto Gas Light Co?????
