If you're really interested, give it a good inspection. Take it completely apart down to the bare frame, including the magazine catch, trigger, firing pin and extractor and then reassemble it. If it goes together properly, try for a function and accuracy test on a target. My single exposure to the Norinco 1911 was at a gun show where a Chinese dealer couldnt get one of his together. Having had experience in Army Ordnance with thousands of 1911s in all kinds of condition, I concluded the Norinco parts in question (I forget which) were not to US Govt spec tolerences and while they would function once assembled, they would not readily go together without forcing. This is not to say the Norinco might not be a good pistol. The proof of the puddin is in the shooting.

Hello ,we have had good results with these , but you must realize , they ARE NOT a Colt nor a$1500 type 1911 ...they do make reasonable shooters (plinkers), as far as any type of compitition ??? who knows ??? if you are offered a "good deal" on one and dont take it (or keep it!) , let us know and we will try to deal on it...Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!!azgunnut2@yahoo.comd.a. stearns - gunsmithgallery salesathens , tn
