Here's what I found out for you. There is a schematic drawing of the Win. 62A in the Numrich Gun Parts Catalog, and it says, "Also models 1890, 1906 and 62", so they are very similar. It is one of those spread out all over the page drawings and kind of hard to follow. There is a better one for the 62A (much better) in the "NRA Guide To Firearms Assembly, Rifles and Shotguns." I do have one more source to check, but it's not immediately at hand. If you want any of these drawings I'll mail copies if you post an address.

Tazmutt,Ned Schwings book "Winchester's Slide Action Rifles Vol. 1" has a few pages on dismantling and reassembly for the 1890 and 1906's.That book is an excellent reference for these old rifles. It can be found here on the auction or through one of the major book sellers.Good luck, you'll get it together and it will be beautiful!

Der Gebirgsjager - I would appreciate it VERY much. I have the one from Numrich, need much more detail. A copy of the NRA drawing would be great. I would rather email you my address, please email me at mwalker@pronetisp.net. Thanks !
