My 10/22 cycles only with hV ammo. Is there a possibilty to take some weight of the bolt to be able to shoot normal 22s?
Will this hav an effect of the lifetime of the reciever?

in a world full of compromise some don't

For sure a new trigger, possibly even a new barrel. The trigger should make a real big difference and maybe enough for your purposes.Boomer

Unfortunately.....money buys accuracy. Depending on how much you want to spend will determine how good a tack driver you'll end up with...I've had Tom Volquartzen build me a barrel with a chamber cut specifically for Eley Tennex....wasn't cheap but out shot anything else I've seen available....won many small bore silhouette matches with it. There are barrels available from a wide number of suppliers. Most good shooting HB 10/22's will run about $500 and up. Don't go cheap on the scope.....plan on spending about what the gun is worth for some good glass.

Rembrant is right about the scope... Also right about the Volsquartzen gear, but that's if you are a SERIOUS target shooter. I just like to do a little bit of targeting and a lot of plinking. I love my setup but it's definitely not competition grade. I have a 10/22 with a carbon barrel and Hogue stock. Lots of fun, tighter groups than stock, and no $500 price tag. Mine cost me $150 plus the cost of the gun.
