Value of Belgium Browning

Friend is looking at a Belgium Browning Bolt in 30-06 not sure of the model however he says it has the nice wood stock and is about 90%. Also what is Ruger 15rnd Pre ban mags going for these days?

    Last one I saw sold for $600. (in @ same condition) From what I hear they were WONDERFUL rifles, very accurate, (had to pass a 200yd accuracy test at FN before they were released for sale). I'm looking for one myself in a midrange calibre (.243, .308, .7x57 etc) Beware of the ones mad after 1968 - many had a salt-cured stock that could cause the metal to rust. There is an Excellent book called Browning - Sporting Arms of Distinction 1903-1992 by Matt Eastman. Has a wonderful wealth of knowledge about them. If you don't want one now you will after reading the book. VERY addictive!!! I'd also suggest the Blue Book of Gun Values or teh Browning Collectors Assoc. Happy Shooting!!!
