What is the the correct diameter of this bullet. I have heard you can use .308cal bullets but only certain grain bullets. Is this true? Also, do you guys have any personal loads for this caliber?

  When reloading for a foreign military rifle, especially an older one, it is best to slug the bore to determine the diameter of that particular rifle as they can vary quite a bit. Standard for 7.62x54R mm is .311 or .312. If .308 is used accuracy will usually suffer.

  I've always used .310shoots well.
