According to my references Hopkins & Allen, Norwich, Connecticut made only single barrell shotguns and from 1868 to 1917. So yours could be damascus steel or fluid steel. Generally speaking you can tell damascus by the rings or patterns in the steel. If it is fluid steel and in good operable condition dealers at a gun show would ask $75 - $100. If damascus, there is not much demand and not worth the risk to fire it.
