300 ULTRA MAG very reasonable in the Remington Sendero. Great accuracy right out of the box. 30-378 great also, more recoil. I would not own either gun, not in a synthetic stock, with at least 26" bull barrel. The extra barrel helps stabilize the vibration of very HIGH pressures. No way do I have any desire to shoot them in a pencil barrel/wood stocked combo!!!!

.338 Lapua....very accurate at extreme range, heavy recoil. 26 inch bull barrel Harris-McMillan single shot. Not a rifle from which you'll want to shoot a lot of rounds every day. Beach

None of these calibers are something you'd want to shoot many rounds through in a day. If you're recoil sensitive, none of these calibers, no matter what kind of stock or barrel you have are going to be for you. Each of these calibers in factory rifles are equipped with at least 26" barrels because it takes that long for all the powder to burn. I have a Sako Model 75 in 300 Ultra Mag and love it. Straight out of the box, it was sticking holes on top of each other off a bipod at 100 and 200 yards. The only other rifle on your list that I have limited experience with is the 338 Lapua. If you don't reload, the rounds for each of these are somewhat expensive. It kind of depends what you want it for, but I bought the 300 Ultra Mag for some good reasons and haven't been disappointed with it's performance whatsoever. It's fun to outshoot people with their smaller calibers when theirs goes "pop" and mine goes "booooommmm".
