Are you asking how to disassemble the gun for more-thorough cleaning? Or how to remove the red stuff after disassembly?

I can take it apart, but the red stuff is very sticky and is all over. It doesn't affect function, but after a few hundred rounds more I'm not sure how it will be.

Get the red stuff out after disassembly. It's very sticky and in hard to clean crevices.

I use Wolf ammo in my mak 90 and haven't had a problem. I just clean the barrel with a bore brush dipped in some good gun oil. Then I run several patches through the barrel to take out the crud and a last patch with some oil. AKs take a licking and keep on ticking.Kgun

First off, sorry about the multiple entries. After I hit "Submit" it kept giving me "Page cannot be displayed" so I kept trying. Thanks for the advice, but the stuff is all over the receiver. I know it'll hold up, but it's still very gummy.

Try an air compresser or an airasule can of gun cleaner. I picked up a can of Gun Scrubber at Wal-Mart, its kinda like brake cleaner. You stick that little red straw on an blast what ever your trying to clean, stuff drys real quick. I shoot wolf through my SAR-1 all the time.[This message has been edited by just-shoot (edited 01-21-2002).]
