    No problem. My father has yet to have any problems out of his, and he's been using it for about 15 yrs. But you just don't want to take a chance. A guy up the street didn't take his truck in for the recall and now they are having to rebuild from the fire, caused by the defective fuel line. You just never know.

    Actually Weatherby made a gun (Vanguard) with a bolt that could be reassembled wrong (after cleaning or such) and lead to an unsafe condition. The recall fixes the problem. Weatherby pretty much is going all out to make the modification as painless as possible so there isn't any reason not to have it done. Just don't do it in the middle of hunting season.BTW, you can tell a Vanguard that has already had the modification done pretty easily. The modified bolt has the safety markings painted in (red "F", white "S") and the unmodified bolt does not.Tom
