I have heard alot about these Makarov's, does anyone out there have any information on these pistols. I am also looking for a chart that shows the difference in the cartridge sizes. Does standard 9mm ammo fit these? What is the 9X18 or 9X19mm?
Thanks

They are great guns. The ones they have available now from the big wholesalers are not nearly as "fresh" as the ones they had a year or so ago, they have a lot more wear. A year ago the ones they were selling looked almost brand new and unfired. Still, probably the best buy for the buck in a handgun right now. You might consider getting one a bit more collectable than the Bulgarian Makarov, if you do a search for russian makarov on gunbroker right now, you will see a genuine russian mak for sale. East German would be more collectable than the Bulgarian as well. But the Bulgarians are still great shooters and well worth the current prices. Also, you can find some great information on them at makarov.com[This message has been edited by boeboe (edited 01-15-2002).] 0 -
