I NEED INFOMATION ON A BROWNING MADE FOR MONGOMERY WARD. IT IS A 12 GA PUMP, 30 SERIES, IT ALSO HAS A BIRDDOG ENGRAVED ON IT. ANY INFOMATION WOULD HELP.

  Nope. That particular gun was partially designed by Browning, though. Does it say Browning on it somewhere?

  Ok guys, let's get this settled...Look at Browning products and see how many pump guns they ever offered. Now, look at the quality of your little MW "Browning" and answer if this looks like a Browning gun. It doesn't!Your gun is a Stevens, built cheaply for MW, probably with a birch stock. The one claim to fame is the fact that it's built on a Browning patent... And that's why the name is stamped there.Value given above is fair as your gun is not a collector piece.

  Nice guns sold by Sears and Montgomery Ward. You can pick them up for $45 to $125. I collect and refinish these just as a little hobby. A couple fellows I know do the same but resell them at gun shows for no less than $200 each - one sold earlier this month for $650 to an uninformed novice buyer. They look great when refinished and these fellows take advantage of the looks and Browning connection as well as metro area novice gun buyers (shame on them).
