.41 Long Colt Handloads
After a long effort Ive got some brass, bullets & dies, including the hollow base bullet crimper but want to be able to crimp the original style, heel type bullets. Any solutions for doing a neat job of it?

I read a Mike Venturino article not long ago that suggested a Lee factory crimp die. If I remember correctly Lee will modify one for you. Years ago I tinkered with a .44 American for a while. I used a pair of Electricians crimping pliers, that I had drilled an appropriate sized hole in. It worked, but was alot of work, and occasionally crimped one in crooked. They would still shoot but weren't as accurate.WOODS 0 -
Lee just turned me down on the crimper. I had my hopes up so it was a real disappointment. You'd think they would tool up for some of these old cowboy calibers like the 41LC and 44Colt, now that brass is available, but they said there was no demand. 0
