Fire Sights on Muzzleloader-Fragile?
HI all, I've got a couple of different sets of Fire Sights (Williams) and a set from Thompson-Center on my flintlock TC Hawken. When hunting, the fiber optic glo-orange element gets snagged in the brush and snaps off. I have complained to them and they sent new sights, no better.Does anyone have a suggestion. I like the way the sights work with these old eyes.Could the orange piece be bedded in epoxy. Or is there a better, more rugged sight for sale? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, regards, ol guzda

The epoxy sounds like a way to go. You could also consider installation of a sight hood. A drawback to either approach might be reduced transmission of light. 0
