as far as mags go stay away from usa, i have 2 for my high power, they work great but i got lucky. i have 5 30rd usgi's and not a problem. On the issue of a muzzle break i dont see why you cant, it's not a silencer so go for it 0 -
A muzzel break is legal. If you thread the barrel it must be "Permently" attached as the threaded barrel is one of the evil 5.

I was told that Dillon makes a anti-flash that is held in place with a set screw. 0 -
Dillon offers a muzzle break that attaches to POST BAN AR's with 4 allen head setscrews. It runs $40 and well worth the coin. Good luck. Dillon's # 800-762-3845 0 -
I would choose the Orlite over the Thurmold. The Orlite have a metal re-enforcement the Thurmolds do not have. I like both of these over USGI. My 2 cents 0 -
Any good place to get them?(usgi or thermalmold) 0 -
I have one AR with muzzle brake and one without. It looks cool but do you really have to worry about muzzle climb? It makes the rifle extremely loud and if you compete it may be banned (as a distraction to other shooters on the line) also it may affect accuracy. 0 -
I have to agree with Froggy47If you are going for an authentic military M-16 appearance, then a muzzlebreak is a must have. But as a semi-auto only gun it just makes it MUCH louder, muzzle climb is not a big issue. I've got an M1A with a muzzlebreak and it is loud as hell compared to bolt action guns in .308. 0 -
