.41MAG Redhawk

I did a quick search for pricing on the Ruger Redhawk and it looks like a NIB model is going for somewhere around twice that. I just bought a Taurus 41Mag that I'll be carrying this year during hunting season as backup. I haven't shot it yet, but from what I've heard it should do the trick for just about anything. I did find that ammo is much more expensive than I originally thought and a little difficult to come by in my area. In general, I'd say go for it. It's not much of a risk to pay that price for a nice quality revolver.

I hunt with a .41 Redhawk and love it. I have an Aimpoint red dot scope on it and it is a real tack driver out to about 75-80 yds which is about as well as I can hold it. I reload most of my bullets. It kicks about 30% less than a 44 and has about 10% less power but it will drop a reasonable sixe deer in a heart beat. If you dont buy it let me be the first to kick your a**. Good luck you wont go wrong

Actually that is a very fair price, for a very descent gun.

110: a 100% NIB SS Redhawk will go for between $500 too $600 just like robsguns said but It may take a little while to get it ,, for darn sure a 98% gun will go for $450 to $500 remember this model has NOT been made for the last 10 years and is hard to find in this kind of condition!! and yes it makes a very good deer gun

Rugster, this is a Redhawk not a Blackhawk.I'd like about a half dozen at $250.00 each.

Have him take it into a gun store for a price quote (what they would give him for it) and prommise him $20 above whatever they say. Best of both worlds, he gets $20 more than if he just sold it and you get a GREAT deal.

The .41 is (IMHO) the BEST handgun hunting caliber. The only problem is that there are very few different commercial loadings available and to get the best out of it you must reload. I shoot 270 gr. lead FP with great results. If you buy it, I will share some load data with you.
