Some of the best glass ever used in rifle scopes. However they are 50 and more years old and optical design has improved significantly. The scopes themselves are now obsolete and unrepairable.Just bought one yesterday for $20.00.This was a 7/8" dia scope with internal adjustments and a dot reticle (power as yet undetermined). The scope on my meat gun is a 1" dia model, 4X, with no adjustments (requires adjustable mounts), and a 'post and crosshair reticle. They are great glass if they are in good shape!Obviously lots of variables beyond condition will impact value - diameter, power, reticle, adjustable or not.Stith/Kollmorgen eventually sold their scope business and optical patents to Redfield. The went on to build periscopes for the Navy, among other things.Best......!You don't see many of these. There has been little written and less recorded about them. For the record, what are the details of yours - i.e.diameter, power, reticle, adjustable. 0 -
It is 1", 4 power, fine cross hairs, adjustable for windage and elevation. It is on a Pachmayr tip off mount. 0
