bench rest

I broke the front fork on my el cheapo model last time I was shooting my 300 UM at the range. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

  Does anyone have a plan for a good wooden rest that can be made in the shop?

  I'm workin' on one, if you have access to some Baltic Birch veneer-ply plywood; I get scraps off the CNC machine in our shop that work great.If you're interested, post your e-mail address & I'll get in touch off list & send you a couple of (small) digital photos so you can see what I've worked up.

  look in the shooter's catalog from cabelas, has a good looking one that can be copied very easily,( meaning I did it)
