Ooh, a Carcano question... my specialty! Yes, 6.5X52 Carcano can be used. You don't even need to fireform, just run through a 7.35 sizing die to expand the neck; though you may need to anneal your brass to keep it from splitting, I generally don't. Cases can also be formed from 6.5X54 Greek Mannlicher Schoenaur if trimmed to length and resized. Only problem is finding jacketed bullets in this oddball diameter.
"...hit your enemy in the belly, and kick him when he is down, and boil his prisoners in oil- if you take any- and torture his women and children. Then people will keep clear of you..." -Admiral of the Fleet Lord Fisher, speaking at the Hague Peace Conference in 1899.

If you need the brass Buffalo Arms Co.(www.buffaloarms.com) Carries both the 6.5 and the 7.35. My only real problem is finding the soft nosed .298 - .300 bullets. The best dies I have found are made by Lee, and they are also the cheapest.
