Any Marlin Experts.. Need some help
My bud has a Marlin Model 93 Carbine 30-30, 20 inch barrel,8 inch forearm, has a bullseye on the bottom of stock. Serial#2166. Says this gun was in grease up until about 5yrs ago when he got it. Wood is perfect..not even a scratch anywhere and the metal looks like new. Said he has shot about 200 rds through it. Any idea when this gun was made and what the value might be. This gun is really nice looking. Thanks If you can help. Kidd

Although this is the best site on the net, I use for Marlin-specific questions. Sounds like a dandy and one to which the fellows there will gladly respond. 0 -
OK, you'd think I would have learned by now...try "marlin-collectors.com" 0 -
I have a Marlin history book...do you mean model 1893? 0 -
According to Marlin's History book, the Model'93 Carbine was made from 1925-1936, replaced by the Model'36...but it doesn't give current value/prices as it is a history reference only;(retail price at that time was $32) 0 -
It is Mod 93, Just couldnt figure it out. It seems to have a low serial# to me does it to you. Looks to new to be a 1893. I'll check the site. Thanks 0
