Might can help but need some good info."Highpower" doesn't help much.Is there a mfg and model of the rifle?Could be 22WMR, 22WRF, 22 Special on and on.What is the headstamp on the cartridges you have?Sounds though like the Savage 99 High power.A oddball cartridge. Check this link http://members.ozemail.com.au/~gmcbryde/rifles/savm99.html Give us all the info you have.

It's the .22 savage HiPower, an obsolete cartridge. Anyway, try Dangerous Dave (( www.ows-ammunition.com )) for your rounds. Next, go find some reloading dies and have a mould made. The .228"d bullet is hard as heck to find.

Just have your local dealer order some ammo made by Norma; designation is 5.6x52R; should run you about $37. to $39. per box. The 22 Savage Hi-Power is an old cartridge that takes a .228 diameter bullet.

You can get 22 hi-power ammo or componeents from Buffalo Arms at Sandpoint, Idaho. They have a web page at WWW.Buffaloarms.com

Check out the auctions here. I bought some a while back from here. The dealer was great to deal with. It is pretty spendy though. It cost about $.65 per round. He has more that he keeps listing. It is Sellier & Bellot 5.6X52R made in the Czech Republic but works fine. There is also some Norma listed from time to time but it cost more. Good luck.

Also find Centerfire Systems. They had a lot or more like a ton of Seller+Ballet. So I stocked up. It's very good ammo.Good brass also. And another thing is when you see .227 bullets on a shelf buy them, I heard they quit making them.Let me know if you need any more information.

I have just recently run into the same problem. My father has a model 99 .22 highpower take down model. I wanted to buy him some ammo for Christmas. S&B makes it. It's about $18.00 a box. A lot better than 30 a box. Try "Old Western Scrounger" on the web.I don't know the address, but that is where I ordered mine from. It came quickly and I would do business with them again. The guy that I talked to on the phone knew his stuff.
