    I can't help you with the value? But years back when I was still living in CA, there was a guy making cases like that for commercial sale.

    Strikes me, unless you can really substantiate that the case was made and used for/by the F B I, it' would only have value to somebody who had one of the semi-auto Thompsons?

    The FBI never used the 1927A-1 semi-auto carbine. You have a modern reproduction case.

    When I saw original FBI hard case for a Thompson I nearly had a heart attack! I also pictured hundreds of eager (insane) Thompson collectors trying to force fat wads of $100 bills into your hands. These true original cases were made by Sweatens and Chicago Luggage Co. and are very rare and desireable. As Txs pointed out you have a modern commercial case which was marketed by Auto Ordnance (along with a violin case) some years back. New, these cases retailed for around $150. By the way, all known original FBI hard cases had either royal blue interiors (most), green (very few), or red (seldom ever seen).

    Thanks guys for the info,almost makes me wish i had the real deal,but you can bet your bottom dollar i will be looking for the manufactures name on that box just to make sure.HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR[:D][:D]
