RM...it's the mag., probly in combo with dirt in the reciever. Sometimes the Ruger mags have some dirt or casting flange material on the rotory part of the clip. Try this website for pics and instructions on how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble your clip.

ITS THE MAG. sounds like a little pinch may do the trick. stove pipe is casued by the case being released too soon as its getting striped off the mag. the guides need to be pinched a little to keep the case in the guides just a hair longer. the adjestment can go out of whack if you dropped the mag at ant time. its a common problem with 22's.

I just got back from the local gun smith's place and we went to the range with all of the mags I have and both my wife's and mine. We figured that the best way to resolve this problem it to put a white "W" on this mag for the wife's gun only. I have 3 others to use. I thank you all for the info. Trap55 if you are ever down here in the 29palms area bring your 10/22 and we will go do some plinking. I am only 4 miles from the range out here. Bobski, I see that you are in to slot cars and I still have a bunch of them in the atic in ohio. I think that they are the AFX and TYCO type. My older brothers and I used to drag race them when we were younger. I still play with them when I am back home. Thanks again for all the info.

    Thanks

If you ever come up my way we'll do the same, and maybe i can fix that mag. for you. My 10/22 has been kinda lonely lately, the property i used to hunt those terrorist ground squirrels on changed hands.

when i shot on teams, every gun had its pet mag and i wrote the serial number on the bottom of it with typewritter fluid! once you find one that works, you glue it to that gun! my slots were 1/24 and 1/32. im selling off my 10' oval 4 lane track on feebay. watch for it! just sold all my garvics. got 40.00 per body! yeeha.

hehee. get you visa! good luck getting your guns thru customs! i make it a habit of fairness by hunting squirrels with a daisy bb gun with open sights. it doesnt wake up the neighbors and it keeps me sharp! got 69 last year in my yard alone. up to 28 this year too. cheapest hunt a man can have. i even give the varmits to the locals and they eat them! im the hero in this neighborhood!
