Zeiss Conquest scopes / good mounts
Still sifting through the scope market to put on the BAR 7 mag.Has anyone used the Zeiss Conquest scopes and if ya did, what did ya think. Also if there is any feed back on the Sheperd line of optics.I am looking at as many as I can before I drop the cash on a scope.Hope I dont have too many questions here but here is one more.If I were to go with Conetrol mounting system for this rifle would it be an over kill.? Thank you every one.

Earlier this year a bought a Rem.22-250 that had a conquest on it. It's a 4.5x14x44 loved it so much I had to get a 3x9x40 for my deer rifle. These old eyes need all the edge they can get and zeiss certianly helps. IMHO 0 -
In my opinion the Zeiss line is by far the best for the money. They use the same lens as the german zeiss scopes but they are assembled in the USA. They are also geared to american hunters with the 4" of eye relief. The best prices I have found are from this guy HuntElk@cs.com his name is Mark and he is great. Sent me a brand new Nikon Monarch when I won a refurb from him on ebay. His rating is excellent on ebay also. Price check with him before you buy anything.
As for mounts I would recommend Talley rings and bases or Gentry. They are expensive but they are top of the line.
