Looking for a source for parts for a "Robin Hood" Revolver

You might have some problems obtaining parts for your revolver?
My references show that they were manufactured by the Hood Firearms Co. of Norwich Conn. ( Circa 1875 - 1880's? ).
Although this firm was in business for a relatively short period of time, there same basic firearms ( revolvers & shotguns ) were sold under many different names and are usually classed under the "Hardware/ Store Brand" - "Suicide Special" category.0 -
The best plan might be to buy a second as a parts gun if you really want to keep it going. Could be a little hard to find, or at least take a little time.

as a collector of pre-1900 pocket pistols, let me chime in.your best bet is to hunt the shows and websights for a complete or parts gun in lesser condition. look for a gun that has the parts you need, at a price you are willing to pay. you may recoup some of your initial, upfront expenditure by posting the rest of the parts that were surplus to your needs on auction here on GB.
part or the problem is that the majority of thse particular guns were poorly made. arms of this make in top condition, or with custom / odd grips, or engraving bring more money, but most have little collectors intrest. i like them, i think they make god derivitive examples of typical arms of this type / era. best regards, mike.
