Desert Eagle Trigger 'smiths
Anybody recommend a trustworthy gunsmith who's good at doing Desert Eagle triggers? I have an otherwise nice Mark VII that I'd like to have crisped up & lightened just a ticky bit.
Forgot: I'm near Chicago, but would ship to an FFL who can do this work.

Most any 'smith can do 'em. I had my Mark VII done by a guy in Pittsburg Kansas (when I lived near there). They really don't take much work, they're darn good to start with... I can't recall the guys name, but if you're interested you can call:
JOHNS SPORTS CENTER
1804 N BROADWAY ST, PITTSBURG, KS 66762
Phone: (620) 231-7740
Ask for the guy that does thier gunsmith work. I've had numerous items done through him and he does a good job at a very reasonable cost.
BTW, if I'm not mistaken (double-check this, I could be wrong) but I was thinking you could send a firearm to a certified gunsmith for repair and he'd return it to you without the need for FFL's at either end. I think you'd only need a FFL if the gun switched hands (owners).0 -
Had a local smith do mine...later Magnum Research came out with a drop in fully adjustable trigger package you can buy.

That's my understanding of the law(s) too; best to check it out though, just to make sure. Don't want to get on somebody's &$%-list in this state.

I b'lieve that adjustable rig is already in there - I know where there's a little Allen-head screw I can change the break with, but I let it sit for several months after I got bit by the highpower bug & now it just doesn't work smooth like it did when I shot it (almost) weekly.
Maybe I just need to shoot it more....0
