Japanese Rifles--do parts (bolt)
interchange between the Type 38 and the Type 99? I can't find any source that describes the dimensions of them.

HAIRY,
As the type 38 (6.5) and the type 99 (7.7) are different calibers, I would say no. I believe the type 38 is longer than the type 99.
I am not certain though, perhaps someone else who knows more will confirm or disagree with me.

Not interchangeable, the locking lugs on the 38 are bigger for one reason.
