AR-15 barrel twist question

Can any of you tell me the barrel twist on the following AR-15's?

1. Colt AR-15 A2 HBAR
2. Colt AR-15 SP1

  1. 1 in 7 (good for all bullet weights 55gr & up)
  2. 1 in 12 (good for all bullet weights up to 60gr.)

  Probably need to know the date of manufacture too. If I remember correctly the early SP-1 had a 1 in 12" and the late versions had the 1 in 10". The HBAR will really depend on whether it is an "AR15" in generic reference or an "AR15" by true reference (Judge Colt should be all over this soon[;)])

  both HBARs I have are 1:7
  
  why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

  Barrel: non chrome-plated, markings: "M," "VP" inside a
  triangle,
  1 in 12", barrel twist

  the smaller the twist rate, the lighter the ammo should be shot,
  the higher the twist rate, the heavier should be shot, with this small of bullet, it may or may now matter.
