dumb inquiry

sirs, can anyone help with date of manufacture on s&w mod 12-2 serial c8127xx Gun has early features: flat latch, diamond stocks but has the-2 markings. thanks for your help. dux

    icdux1, According to Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Supica and Nahas, the model 12 with that sn was made in 1966.

    most respected sirs, original post was dom inquiry, meaning Date Of Manufacture. this post was edited, perhaps he thought being from south central ky. i could not spell dumb, perhaps an honest mistake. my best regards. dux

    icdux1, It seems to me that Capt Kirk owes you an apology for editing your original post. DOM is a commonly used abreviation on the gun forums which the regular posters recognize to mean "date of manufacture".
