Got a buddy who swears that the Charterarms 44 special was the weapon chosen by the sky marshalls as there on-board airplane handgun????? true or false?????? Billy

Hadn't heard that one yet. I am betting they will be issued SIG's. Being gov't business though they'll probably want SIG to build them in some oddball caliber with ten safeties, fingerprint ID'ing holster and a 20# trigger pull....DAO of course[;)]

They supposedly used them back in the '70's when the program was young. Autos were'nt thought of as reliable back then and the big, slow .44 made sense. They are using SIG autos now. Either .40 or .357 SIG, I'm not sure which.
The only thing worse than lawbreakers, are lawmakers.0
