looking for a cc gun in semi auto.whats the most reliable pistol out there? i think a minimum of .380 cal.thanks don

It depends on how much power and magazine capacity you need, and how large or small the gun must be.
Here is my power/size hierarchy regardless of cost:
NAA .22LR Mini-Revolver, Kel-Tec P32/3AT, Colt Pony Pocketlite, Kel-Tec P11, Steyr GB, Heckler-Koch USP .45 or Para-Ordnance P14/LDA 1445, USAS 12 with 20-round drum, GE M134 Mini-Gun (Opps, you said concealed carry! Disregard the last two.).0 -
Look to what the professionals carry. The calibur is up for grabs. 9mm, 40cal, 357sig, 45acp or the 10mm. Colt, Sig, H&K, Glock, Tanfoglio/CZ, Beretta and many others. Do your home work and part of that home work is to shoot befor you buy. My 2 cents [8D]

I know you said semi-auto, but if you are going to carry, there are a few considerations; what are you going to wear, how are you going to carry, etc. If you truly want to wear concealed, and by that I mean that even the grip won't show, you are going to have to get something that is small and light enough to wear on the ankle, or in a pocket, or cover with a shirt tucked in. This means compromise. What I find the most comfortable are the Walther ppk/s-1 and Sig 232. However, if it is going into a pocket or on the ankle, even those are a bit heavy. Don't write off a S&W .38, or even a .32. Judge Colt's list is really good. 0 -

I carry a taurus pt145, very small for a .45 and holds 10+1. I have about 600 rounds through it and its flawless

I suggest you get more than one CCW gun. One very small one that you never leave behind, and one bigger more powerful gun when you can conceal something larger.
I'm personally going to get a Kel-tec 3AT (.380) for all the time carry, and either a Glock 29 or more likely a S&W 1076 for my CCW duty gun.
I've owned quite a few Glocks over the years and they ain't much to look at, but they always work. I would (and do) trust my life to them.0 -
Automatic - Sig P239 9mm. Small,narrow, (single-stack) very accurate, 100% reliable. Revolver - S/W j-frame model 638 w/Barami HipGrip. Small, 100% reliable, accurate at reasonable distances (10yards or less) very concealable. For more accuracy, put CTC grips on it in lieu of Barami's and use in waist band holster of choice.
