Wilkinson Terry Carbine vs Linda Carbine

OK Experts, what is the real difference between these two rifles/carbines. Do you know when they were made before Northwest Arms bought the factory. Thanks for the info.

    I owned a couple of them back in the early 80's, only thing that I can positively recall was the stocks were different.

    One had a metal tube stock, and the other was a conventional wooden stock. Don't remember which was which at this late date.

    Believe the first batch were made in one of the San Gabreail Valley cities ( El Monte ? ), before the outfit moved to Idaho?

    The original site was Covina,Kalifornia
    Serial #' were 00xxxx
    When Ray moved to Idaho, they were still in the 00xxxx serial range.
    Somewhere along the runs the quit putting the Williams adjustable rear site on them. They were replaced by a liece of tin with a hole in it.
    Bolt was cheapened too.
    They eliminated the re-inforcing T-bar on the extractor...less machining and a few less parts.
    won't extract a round that engages the shorter free-bore of these newer guns.....serial# 88xxxx or 89xxxx

    The older 00xxxx are the good ones.

    The guy that bought Wilkinson when Ray died, took what was left of the Linda (handguns) recievers and re-stamped them to be Linda Carbines.
    The originals were Terry's and had wood or plastic buttstocks (rifles)

    The new Linda carbines use AR-15 type thingies.
    I hear some were made in 40 S&W also.

    I have 2 00xxxx Linda pistols..1 Covina & 1 Parma..they shoot
    I love to show-off with what they'll both do..
