Case hardened Winchester 94

Anyone know if Winchester made any model 94 30-30's with a case hardened receiver?? I would like to find one if they did. Thanks.

    Casehardening was a special order option on the Winchester 1894 and the early model 94 receivers. These would bring a premium price with the Winchester letter to verify it. I'm not sure about the post 64 models.

    There is at least one, called the Antique model, made from 1964-83. There may be others, also.

    There are a few different variations of the post-63 Model 94s that are case color hardened, as well as a few of the Commemoratives. I believe that the "Classic" is is one of them.

    Color case hardening was originally offered on the Model 1894 (never on the "94") as a special order finish only, and it is real rare to find one. It was discontinued as a factory special order option in 1908. The only way to verify if it is authentic, is to obtain a factory letter from the Cody Firearms Museum.

    Bert H.is correct about the 94 classic,,I have one with a case hardened receiver and a super heavy octagon barrel so I know they made at least one [:D]

    I have one chambered in 30-30 with factory engraving (machine engraving) and wide loop lever. It's at my local gunshop on consignment or I would post pictures!
    Nice case coloring I think they look great!
