SHOTGUN - Greer & Laing
Hope someone can help to identify this shotgun and provide some information about it. Please email Fred@hunters-den.com if you can help.
This is a single shot shotgun and marked on the left side of receiver "Greer & Laing". It is a 16 gauge. It is exceptionally clean and has excellent wood. It is Serial Number 43 935 under the trigger guard. It has a 30" barrel with no markings. On the right side of receiver is says "Dec 16 91; Aug 1 96; Aug14 00; May 21 02"
I can't think that the dates are 1991 and later. Seller told me it was made in West Virginia. All the serial numbers match.

As memory server...
Hardware store utility gun. Greer & Laing being the retailer about 100 years in the past. Made by one of the utility makers - Hoplins & Allen, Crescent, Stevens, etc.)
Not collectible. Not much value. No long lines of potential buyers. The gun will wholesale for $35.00 +/-.
