S&W Model 36 5-shot revolver

This gun was stolen from my house a few years ago, I would like to get another one, but not sure where to look. But, it can't cost me an arm and a leg. Reasonably priced I hope.
S&W 38 cal. Model 36, Chrome, 1 1/2" Barrel.
When I bought it new, it was $180. Thanks for any info.

  You can buy these off of ************ or Gun Broker. New or used.
  Probably between $250 and $350. YOu must be talking about nickel plated, because the Model 36 doesn't come in chrome. However, you
  can get a Model 60 in stainless steel which is the same pistol.

  The first thing you need to do is buy a steel lock box or safe, & secure it to the wall/floor. As you learned, unsecured firearms get stolen.
  
  The M36 is now obsolete, but you might want to check current S&W models that are similar to see if you can find one within your budget. Or, you check local gun shops, pawn shops, & gun shows for a M36, M37 (airweight version), or, better yet, M60 (stainless). The online auctions also may be a good place to look.
  
  By the way, your old gun was cal .38 special, the barrel was 2", & the finish was nickel.
