EMF Winchester 92 Carbine in 45 LC
I was looking at an auction for an EMF 1892 carbine in 45 Colt. I also looked at the Rossi PUMA 1892 copies but they have that silly safety on top of the receiver which really turns me off. Does anyone have one of the EMF carbines? Do they also have that safety? Can they handle the hotter loads (once in a while, not all the time) from CorBon and the new 300 grain hot load from PMC? Are they made by Uberti or Armi San Marco?

i have one in my hands right now. hand select wood, charcoal case hardened reciever and lever, 20" heavy profile octagon BBL, very sweet curved buttplate, standard sights, .44-40 WCF, EMF CO `92, full length tube mag.
it DOES NOT have a tang mounted safty, it WILL accept tang sights. this is a nice gun, and we have sold 3 in as many months. i think its a better gun than the ROSSI as far as fit and finish / authentic details go. i would not use a "hot" or 300 grain load in this gun. i would stay under 275 grains, with standard loads, maybe 5% over normal. just to be safe, and to keep the gun in good shape.
if you cannot locate one elsewere, email me at waltsgun@aol.com for details. these guns are not as nice as the originals, but they apear to bee well made, and well finished. best regards, mike.
