i had 32 mag in the s&w m-19. nice round to shoot, but it wasnt easy to find ammo and it was pricey. i tried reloading and found out that the casings were prone to cracking and sometimes i couldnt even get one reload out of them! i sold it all and abandoned the whole caliber within a year.

ddhotbot, there is no decent price for .32HR Mag.ammo.The best you can do is use .32longs for practice and buy a box of the .32HR mags. for defence.I can only find two mfgs. for them One is Federal, a box of 20 rnds 95 gr.LSWC is $8.95 and 20 rnds of 85 gr HP is $9.95 wholesale price is about $3.00 a box less. The other mfg. is Mag-Safe they have a round called The Defender and for 8 (8) rounds of .32HR Mag +P 50gr. price is (are you ready?) $14.95.

I have two .32H&R Mags. a S&W Mod 16 (not 19) and a nice little 4" Charter Arms with adj. Sights.I reload for them without any cracking problems.

bobski,I sugest you either try a different brand of brass or a diff. set of dies.

I have a 32 H&R mag in a Ruger single six and love it. No cheap ammo out there at all! No source of brass cheap eother, if there is I will buy 1000 rounds of it now. I reload and I do not get the cracking problem as stated above. I have several pieces of brass that have been shot at least 10 times! The key to reloading it is to stay with a medium load, not hot reloads. That helps in brass case life. I prefer the Federal rounds myself but no matter which ammo manufacture you use the price will be a bit high.

God protect me from my friends, I can take care of my enemies...

I bought a Taurus for my wife in 32 H&R mag, and she loves it. I just went ahead and bought the dies and brass when I bought the gun, and as long as I keep loading, she's happy. Great round in my opinion.

we carry about ten types / loads / brands of the .32 H&R magnum at the shop. the two most popular are FEDERAL 85 GRAIN HI-SHOK JACKETED HOLLOWPOINT ($19.25 per 50) and FEDERAL 95 GRAIN LEAD SEMI-WADCUTTER ($16.95 per 50). we can also load you a tailored custom handload on your once fired brass, or our new, unfired brass to fit most needs.

if you cannot locate it anywere else, email me at waltsgun@aol.com for details. best regards, mike.
