Suggestions for .22 handguns reference material

Hello:
I am a newbie and just joined the NRA. A friend of mine suggested this link. I would like to educate myself on my area of interest , which is .22 handguns. I would appreciate suggestions on reference material books as specific to this area as possible. Thanks alot and I appreciate the help

  Harrington & Richardson revolvers can date from very early 1900s till late 1900s. Starting mostly with simple design and mediocre quality. Design, quality, fit an finish got to be at its best in 1950s for next decade or so. Later, visual design began to cut corners to reduce mfgr costs, probably their period of best tech and materials, though. One H&R model the late 999 sportsman is as good as any .22 revolver. The best ones have excellent fit and finish and other attributes.

  If your interests lie in older .22 pistols, like the Colt Woodsman series, or older revolvers, there are a number of books which cover the topic in different ways, such as Colt Automatic Pistols etc. go to Bookfinder.com and enter manufacturers name and you will come up with some. Then check the bibliographies of the books you get for more leads. Not a perfect way to go, but the only things you will miss, will be any that everyone else also missed.

  Welcome to the sport. You started in the right place, here on GB. Keep the "experts" in mind for any questions, there are alot of people on here who certainly know their sh**. Have fun and be safe.
