A new reticle for Leupold scopes?
I am hitting the pavement in search of a scope ,as seen on a previous post.I was pretty much set on a Leupold VX III,On a 3x9x40.It will go on a 7 mm mag.White tails will be the main topic of shooting.Any ways ,I was told that the Leupold line was offering a " Boone and Crocket" Reticle .Cant seem to find what its all about.Has anyone heard of this or have any clue what its all about or if its even available? This buisness of looking at the scopes on the market is turning into a real big to do.Kinda like ordering a mail order bride.Oh well I am just looking at all options .I also would like to stay in the $500 -$600 area. Thanks for every ones help.

Easiest thing to do is ask Leupold. They are good about responding to e-mails. http://www.leupold.com/
or http://www.natchezss.com for prices.
Once you know what you want try: www.bearbasin.com

I haven't heard of that reticle, but I do know scopes can be sent to Leupold for a reticle change. I am thinking it is around $100. Here's their contact info:

You won't be disappointed with the Vari-X III's. I have a 4.5x14x50 on a .300 win mag for around 10 years now, no sign of letting up. .0 -
Sounds like a marketing thing to me. Same reticle as any other but with a name it costs more. Just go buy a multi-plex and quit worrying about it. Buy it from your local shop though. They'll likely install it fo rfree if you buy it from them. 0 -
design your own reticle and have it put into any vari-x III for a little extra charge.

these guys are the ONLY authorized service center for leupold other than the factory itself. They will build you a reticle to your specs and install it,...or you can choose from the many they have.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

Diddo on Just C's advise. They also carry Badger Ordnance rings and mounts.
