Remington choke tubes
Hi there!
Im currently using a "skeet" choke in my 11-87 and was wondering
if there is a wider setting available like "superskeet" that
would help improve my mediocre skeeting skills.
To be honest I cant really tell the difference between Imp cyl and
skeet tubes. [B)] [:(] [:0]
Thanks,
Pdp

which way do you want to go? open up or tighter? btw...dont blame the choke on your scores. youll be spending money for nothing for the rest of your life. trust me. there were champions before interchangable chokes came along, and there will be for a long time to come. it aint the choke thats choking!

You could go to a "cylinder" choke, but perhaps the money would be better spent on some lessons? A good teacher can spot problems in form and follow through, that you yourself cannot catch. Believe me I have had the experience myself, and a good spotter can help a great deal. That said, some firms like Briley make skeet 1 and skeet 2 with a bit of difference in bore diameter and pattern size. I doubt you will find these in the factory tubes.

Like the others said there's no replacement for practice and instruction. Cylinder bore is the most open one, it's essentially the same diameter as the barrel (for all intents anyway) and is mostly used in short barreled shotguns for home defense.
For me, I got my own thrower and hooked a loop on it so I could "pull' it myself and practiced like crazy. I had taken a couple years off from skeet and bird hunting and this fall I decided to try it again. It took me 250 rounds to get back on target. At first, when I concentrated on the basics I could hit 'em, but I sure wasn't doing it naturally. However, by the time the 250 rounds were done, I could "snap shoot" 'em too.0 -
Will search into the cylinder bore choke, thanks.
bobski, I know I suck, wasnt blaming the choke or otherwise.
Did you read my post?
