Mossberg 500 and O/U or Side by Side

My mom has her father's original Mossberg 500 12ga he bought in the 60's. I really love the gun, it is heavy unike the new guns that I can one hand shoot, this gun requires both hands to steady. I am wanting to get an old Mossberg 500 and I would like to know if they made a double barrel shotgun in 12ga as well.

    Pedersen was a Mossberg Division, they made SxS and O/U.

    the reason you like that old 500 is because the reciver is steal not aluminium the a in 500a stands for that and the 500 comes in many vairations but not a dubble barle this is a grate gun some dont like them but i have 5 and not one is like the other as far as configuration goes but they have all served me well and eat every shell i slide up the tubes. mossberg has manny models and i cant speek for all of them but i have ben using a 500 in one form or another for 27 years[:p]have fun cj
